Quali?cations:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Teacher Certi?cation in English/Language Arts
- Texas Bilingual Spanish Endorsement or ESL Certi?cate
- Three years classroom teaching experience
- Preferred ?uency in both academic Spanish and English
- Preferred Certi?cation in Special Education

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment that incorporates learning goals and encourages student responsibility
- Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress and evidence of growth
- Develop curriculum to provide individual, small group, and/or remedial instruction as to meet the needs of individual students and subgroups of students

- Observe students in classroom settings and consult with teachers to develop appropriate strategies to support the needs of students
- Maintain open and consistent communication about student progress, concerns and achievement with students, families, and teacher colleagues
- Provide Professional Development to staff consistent with campus goals that support ESL strategies and instructional model
ESL (Grades 6-12)
- Provide intervention and accelerated instruction to limited English pro?cient, at-risk students using strategies that re?ect understanding of individual learning styles, interests and needs
- Address all aspects of communication through instruction that develops each student’s ability to read, write, speak, and listen in the academic setting
- Administer ongoing academic and language assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress in meeting academic learning targets and progress in language acquisition
- Assist in coordination and facilitation of LPAC meetings throughout the year
- Assist with coordination and administration of TELPAS
- Assist with formal and informal assessments to identify student reading pro?ciency
- Utilize student data to assist teachers identify and group students who need additional support
- Assist in design and implementation of intervention plans for students in small group setting
- Support small groups of identi?ed students in development of performance strategies that will assist them in meeting their learning targets in all in all content areas

Essential Functions
Physical abilities include but are not limited to being able to communicate information clearly as well as the ability to see objects at a close range and at a distance, in order to establish and maintain safe and effective working relationships with staff and students.
